Not Only a Game

Last weekend, I played World of Warcraft with a lot of my Chinese friends. We made a Raid Group and against those powerful monsters. My character in the game is a Warrior, and I played as a Tank in our group. Someone say it’s just a game and we should not pay attention on it. My parents also think it’s just a waist of time. However, I think it’s not only a game. I met a lot of friends online and we worked together to fight against those monsters. We trusted each other and we worked like a real group. As a tank, I must keep the monsters far away from others. I must use my body to protect our group. It is a dangerous work, but I’ve never been afraid because I trust our healers. Trusting, team-working, brave, friendship, and honest, the spirit of game is absolutely great and it should be used in our real life. I love this game because it is not only a game.

Different University Education

The university education was totally different between China and Canada. In China, it is not easy to enroll a university. Students need to take the National University Entering Examination. Millions of students want to pass the single-plank bridge, but there were a few can do it. Students are good or not depend on just one exam; it's a big problem of Chinese education. Unlike China, much more high school students in Canada have the chance to have the high education in university. It is easy to graduate from Chinese universities. This cause after those good students enter the university, they don't pay much attention on their study. However, students in Canadian university have to work very hard, or they may be expelled by the university. In China, there are just few jobs for students graduate from university. Students can't find jobs. In Canada, students usually be able to find good jobs after they graduate from university. Those are a few differences between education of university between China and Canada.

A Show=A girl

The most memorable thing, in my opinion, is the first performance on the stage. It was a very big show; all students and teachers of my high school were there. I had a partner, and he is my best friend. We sang a song named < You Are Always in My Life>. My partner was very nervous before we stood on the stage. The compere was saying "Next show is , but my partner told me that his brain was empty, even couldn't remember the song. Actually, I was just like him, however, I said "Take off your glasses!" I knew he can't see anything without his glasses. I thought if he couldn't see so many people were staring at him, then he might be OK. That's true. Unfortunately, I forgot to take off my glasses! When we were standing on the stage, my legs were all of a tremble. When I saw so many people, I thought I was gonna die. Suddenly, I saw the most beautiful girl in our school. She was in the first row. A crazy idea came into my brain. I decided to stare at her when I sang the song, so I don't need to care about other's sight. The show was great, and I got a big surprise. You know what? The girl thought I sang a love song to her in front of so many eyes and fall in love with me. That was the most memorable time of my 3 years high school life.

Movie Review of 《I am David》

A key moment:

Could you see the painting of a boy? How serious he is! It shows that Deep-set eyes with the tightly bended brows, emaciated face with tight lips. There is no smile no childishness on his face except sadness, tiredness and wonder. It reflects the boy’s life which is tough in the concentration camp. David has to do a lot of work in the concentration camp without enough food and clothes. He lives in danger everyday because he does not know if he will be killed next minute. When he escapes from the concentration camp successfully, he still has a tough life. During the journey to Denmark, he has to avoid the arrest by Natchez and get food by his own. He cannot trust anyone except himself. He stands a lot of pain and pressure. But when he meets the old lady, the tough life has gone and brightness has come. When the old lady is painting him, she reads his difficulties and tough life from his eyes. She understands him so she prevents him from arresting by Natchez and helps him start a new life. David starts to believe people and smile. He is not sad any more. This part is a big transition in the movie. Without the old lady’s help, David would live in tough life for a long time.

Evaluate the movie:

I strongly recommend this movie to all levels people in society. Not only the moving story, but also the spirits show in the movie. It provides the bravery and strong willpower. What’s more, it presents the kindness of human beings. No matter how bad the boy’s life is, there will be someone waiting there for helping you. It inspires me to believe that life is nice and every difficulty will be gone.

Crazy Fad: Electronic Rap

Nowadays, electronic rap is one kind of the most fashionable music. It is extremely popular in western countries. The storm of electronic rap is landing the Asia at present. Why it is so popular? Can it last a long time? In my opinion, electronic rap is a fad, a crazy fad. As we know, rap is a trend; it has been fashion for about forty years. It is a kind of great music because it focuses on the rhythm, stress and the emotion. Voice without emotion can not live a long time. Electronic rap singers don't show us their real voice. It sounds like a robot. How can we feel the emotion from the robot's voice? It is cool, I agree, but it has nothing except being cool. The song uses a lot of electronic rap. I was astonished by so much electronic rap. Haiti need our help, yes, it should be full of love. How to use that kind of voice to show our heart? I can not understand. Maybe, it is just following the fashion. Electronic rap does not have the emotion. It can be fashion; it can be a fad, but it can not be a trend, never, ever.

The Terrible Weekend

This weekend was so terrible. I've got a plan to take photoes outside of the buildings and the blue sky this weekend. Friday, it was raining when I got up. The bad weather changed my plan, and I had to put it off. I had to stay at home and read the boring novel. Saturday, there was no sun when I got up, I thought the light was not good enough for my picture and the big gray cloud coverd the beautiful sky. I decided to stay at home and do my homework. My friend called me and asked me to have dinner with them in Richmend. I'm not sure the day was good to take photoes so I said yes and went to Richmend without taking my camera. When I was on the skytrain, I was so sad because the sun. What could I do without my camera? Sunday, it kept on raining and I had to stay at home. Three days past, and I got zero picture. What a terrible weekend!

Stanley Park, I know how beautiful van is.

Walking in the Stanley Park was amazing, just like walking in the froest. Before I got here, I imaging Van should be very beautiful with a lot of big trees, blue sky, blue sea, great sunset and modern buildings. I've been in Burnaby for over two months, and I think it is just like the countryside of my hometown. It's not beautiful. BUT, the view in Stanley Park is great, I don't think I can use language to describe it. It's like a place in my dream. I began to love this city, deeply.

Van is Crazy

I went to Downtown with my frinds during the Olympic break. I used to believe the book, said Canada has a small population and it is not crowded, but after this experience, I will throw the book away. It was too crowded in Downtown; everyone is crazy. The streets were full of people, just like them in China. The only difference is, in China, I just see black hair, but here, I can see hair different colours. I see a lot of people perform in the streets. Their performances were great, especally the Hip-Hop one. Hundreds of people were around the 5 rappers. I don't like this kind of music but I think it was really cool. That afternoon was great, we had a lot of fun. When I want to go back home, I found it was too difficult to get on the Skytrain because too many people were trying to go home by Skytrain. At that moment, I believe that Vancouver is crazy.

Hey~ I'm here!

I have been in Vancourver for over two months. Everything here is OK. I miss you guys a lot and I'll be back in April.
This post is just a test to see if I am doing right or not.
